This is the definition of Sellable Yield.
What is how many items we make sellable? (Goal is roughly 90%)
This is the definition of concessions.
What is the payments made to customers who have had a bad experience. (ex. If a customer receives an item that should have been graded as unsellable)
This is the definition of URR.
UnReconciled Returns is specific to items not owned by Amazon. When items not owned by Amazon are returned they have have to be sent back to whoever owns them. If they aren't sent back to whoever owns them within 60 days of being returned, Amazon pays that person or company the price of that item. (Not so fun fact.... These payments cost Amazon over two billion dollars in 2022 :0)
Hardline and Softline
Generally speaking the items we process can be considered softline or hardline. Softline items are things that we can wear (shirts, shoes, jeans, etc.) and hardline items are everything else.
This is the #1 category for low sellable yield.
What is women's intimate apparel? (Tips to make them sellable-> Factory seal make sellable, No signs of stains=Sellable, No Odor detected(within 18in from face=Sellable)
This is the average cost of each softline specific concession (hardline concessions cost Amazon more)
What is $35-$40? (when an Amazon customer has a negative experience, Amazon Customer Service will try to make up for it by making payments such as credits, a free month of Prime, or something similar to make the customer happy again. These payments cost Amazon hundreds of millions of dollars per year)
Before you escalate an item to a problem solver, you must first place this three-letter acronym onto the item.
What is a L.P.N. (license plate number)? Items that do not receive an LPN are much harder to track, and if items get lost they are likely to result in an FBA reimbursement.
Product Group
When looking at metrics about quality, we look at data for Product Group, Category, and Subcategory.
Examples of product groups are apparel, shoes, automotive, electronics. Product groups describe a very large amount of items.
The #1 subcategory for low sellable yield
What is Bras? (Tips to make them sellable-> Perfrom a 7-Sided check, Check for deodorant stains and ask questions if unsure)
Besides Switcheroo, this is the 2nd most common reason why customers return an item that was graded as sellable.
What is functional issue? (Includes damage, missing accessories, thread issues.)
A risk signature of URR, something that you have to speak to an AM or PA for.
What is a cleared session (Goal is to clear less than three percent of sessions that are started. Items with cleared sessions are much more likely to get placed into the wrong tote and lost, resulting in a FBA reimbursement.
Additionally, items that need a cleared session usually have negative implications to other quality metrics and are often caused by not following the UI, miss-clicks, or miss-scans)
Category
Each product group will have categories of items. Think of the product group as a tree, and the category as a branch on that tree. Categories of items are more specific and don't have as many items as a product group does. Categories usually have a number associated with them.
Examples of categories include 1300 Men's Underwear, 3600 uniforms, 7700 Outdoors,
The answer is 3 things you must do to make items sellable.

3. Confirm no damage is present
This variation of the word "Switch" refers to when an item does not match the description.
What is a switcheroo? (Switcheroo_concessions occur when we make an error and say an item is the wrong brand OR size OR color. When the customer receives an item that is different than what they intended, it leads to a concession)
This risk signature tracks information regarding items that should be scanned into black totes but are not.
What is incomplete audit? (Having an item going to audit is not a bad thing even if you fail the audit, but trying to have your session cleared or physically hiding the item that is supposed to go to audit results in high risk for an FBA reimbursement)
Subcategory
Each category will have subcategories of items. Think of the category as a branch, and the subcategory as a leaf on that branch. Subategories of items are very specific and have a small amount of items that meet the criteria to be considered for that subcategory. Subcategories usually have a number associated with them.
Examples of subcategories include 1330 Boxer Briefs, 4660 Lab Coats.
When grading women's intimate apparel, What are 3 of the most common reasons why they should be made unsellable.

What is Women's dresses (to reduce concessions make sure that the presentation/folding is professional. Dresses often have fabric that is easy to wrinkle, and if the dresses are not folded well and placed into the smallest possible polybag the dress could become un-folded in transit and cause wrinkles and lead to a concession)
This tool that is named after a city in Italy is used by Managers and PA's to track which trailers to unload out of.
What is the R.O.M.E. tool? (The ReLo Optimization and Management Engine tool shows which trailers to unload out of first based on the unique amount of FBA items on that trailer, and the amount Amazon would have to pay in reimbursements if those items are not processed within a certain time frame)
