People of all abilities are able to adopt a self-management skill
What is anyone can learn
a self-generated response that functions as a response prompt for a desired behavior
What is self-instruction
A stimuli that can be in any form (verbal, physical, symbolic, etc.) to evoke a desired behavior
What is providing response prompts
Holly has been trying to eat better and incorporate more whole foods and cutting out foods with little to no nutritional value. To do this Holly is not buying low-nutritional foods so she will not have access to eat them in her home.
What is removing necessary items?
Learning a wide variety of self-management tactics and having your own menu of tactics can help control

What is systematic desensitization?
The individual sets their goal and consequence for completing the task leading to higher rates of completion
What is enhancing performance of self-selected tasks
An individual forces themselves to engage in an undesirable behavior repeatedly to decrease future occurrences
What is massed practice?
When the thought of completing a task pops up, completing the required steps of that behavior to later evoke a discriminative stimulus to start the behavior chain
What is it to perform the initial steps of a behavior chain

What is promoting generalization and maintenance?
Interrupting your chain of behavior during an undesired behavior by engaging with an incompatible behavior
What is habit reversal?
Limiting the setting or stimulus conditions where engagement of the behavior occurs.
What is limiting restricted stimulus conditions?
Larry has a hard time completing his online work and will often leave his computer space to go and do other tasks avoiding his online work. To combat this Larry has started using a visual timer and checklist to work in that duration and when the timer ends he can take a break. At the end he can use his checklist to determine what he did and what still needs to be done.

What is contributing to efficient and effective group environments?
Addressed fears, anxiety, and phobias by developing a hierarchy of least-to-most fearful and learning to relax in those situations going through each scenario created.
What is systematic desensitization?
Manipulating the environment to limit the possibility of an undesired behavior occurring
What is removing necessary items?
What is habit reversal?
