SAR Terminology

What is the SAR7?
Information that is NOT questionable, the providr is the primary source of information, AND no further information is needed to take action.
What is Verified Upon Receipt or VUR?
The amount of changed unearned income that must be acted on by the Eligibility Specialist when reported on the SAR 7.
What is $100?
The date the SAR7 is due.
What is the 5th of the month?
The name and FPL percentage of the in which a CalFresh household is required to report a change to the county within 10 days.
What is the Income Reporting Threshold - 130%FPL?
A sequence of months initiated by an application and beginning with the "beginning Date of Aid".
What is the SAR Cycle?
A mid-period change reported by a household member that represents a decrease in income.
What is a Voluntary Mid-Period Report?
The person who must sign and date the SAR7.
Who is the head of household, a responsible household member or an authorized representative?
The last day of the month that the report is considered timely.
What is the 11th of the month?
Aspect of case processing that is relied upon heavily by Quality Control. This should NEVER be sacrificed or neglected.
What is quality documentation and case comments/journal entries?
The month for which the recipient's information is reported on the required SAR7. Also, the 5th month of the SAR Payment Period.
What is the SAR Data Month?
Correspondence that is sent to recipients after a change has been reported, but the change will not be acted upon.
What is a "No Change NOA"?
The type of verifications that must be submitted along with a SAR7 in order for the report to be considered complete.
What are the mandatory verifications?
The NOA that is sent when a report has been submitted timely but is missing documentation.
What is the Y-NOA?
The letter outlining verification requirements in the CalFresh Program.
What is ACIN I-45-11?
The 6 month period of time for which benefits are issued. Commonly, there are two of these in a certification period.
What is the SAR Payment Period?
A mandatory mid-period report.
What is gross income exceeding the IRT or a report of an ABAWD's hours dropping below 20?
The All County Letter that provides clarification on SAR 7 completeness criteria.
What is ACL 21-24?
The name and day that the last date that the SAR7 can be submitted without discontinuance of eligiblity.
What is the Extended Filing Date which occurs on the first day of the month following the submit month?
A type of verification that may accompany the SAR7 when an E&D household has exceeded the 200% FPL.
What is verification of property?
The month in which the required 6 month Income Report is due.

The concept which serves as the date for which the 10-day countdown to report mandatory changes begins.

The criteria for a SAR7 report to be considered complete.
