Some colleges fall under the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), and some colleges fall under the University System of Georgia (USG). Not all credits from TCSG schools can be transferrable

The only requirement for HOPE scholarship eligibility is a academic unweighted grade point average (gpa) of 3.0

You must be a Georgia resident for at least 12 consecutive months, have a minimum gpa of 3.0 AND at least four classes that fall under the academic rigor list that can be found here:

If I plan to enlist in a military branch, going to a four year college/university is not an option

You can commit to a branch and serve years while being a college student. There are schools specifically for enlisted students, as well as schools that have ROTC programs you can attend.

You must be at minimum a second semester sophomore to apply for WBL. This can be an extension of a completed pathway, but is not necessary to do only when you've completed a pathway.

The deadline for submission of all dual enrollment deadlines is November 1st for Spring Semester admission, and April 1st for Summer and Fall admission

Even though trade, technical and community schools are considered more affordable than most four-year universities, I can still receive grants/scholarships to attend trade, technical and community schools

Per Cartersville High School's policy, you must have a minimum academic unweighted gpa of 3.0 to take academic classes. To take technical classes, a student must have at least a 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA. Even if a dual enrollment school requires something different, you must still have the required GPA by the time you submit your application.

While you can take the ASVAB test as many times as you want, you must wait at least one month between your first and second attempt. Afterwards you must wait at least six months between retakes. Additionally, your most recent score--not your highest--will be used to assess your performance

What is Fiction!

While it is beneficial to know what you want to do before entering the workforce, the average person changes their careers five to seven times in their lifetime. There are plenty of aptitude assessments and career inventories anyone can complete (for free) to determine potential careers they can pursue. Have you taken the YouScience assessment yet?

If I fail a college class through dual enrollment, I can retake it through dual enrollment

State funding does not allow you to retake a class you used funding to take a college course you took and failed after the first attempt. You will either need to pay out of pocket, or take the high school equivalency course. If the class you failed is a prerequisite for another class, you will not be allowed to take the second level course until you pass the first course--whether at college as a true college student or after you've retaken the course and successfully met the prerequisites.

If FAFSA offers me grants and loans to cover my tuition, room and board, I have to accept both

You only accept what you want (grants or loans or both), but you will have to repay any loans you accept. If you do not accept any loans, you will be responsible for coming up with funds to pay whatever remaining balance you owe on your tuition, room, board and fees

You can switch from one branch to another branch, but it is not commonly done. You may also be required to do an early discharge from the branch you're transferring from. Every branch has different requirements
