What is an icon?
Your system's short-term memory. Whenever your computer performs calculations, it temporarily stores the data here until it is needed. The more of this you have, the more things your computer can do at the same time.

What are Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux?
An electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve, and process data. You can use it to type documents, send email, play games, browse the Web, and much more.
What is a Computer?
Where your software, documents, and other files are stored. This is long-term storage, which means the data is still saved even if you turn the computer off or unplug it.
What is the Hard Drive?
OS created by Microsoft in the mid-1980s.
What is Windows?
Personal computers come in two main styles.
What is PC and Mac?
This is a technology for wireless communication over short distances. It's often used in computers to communicate with wireless keyboards, mice, headphones, and printers.
What is Bluetooth?
A type of software that allows you to perform specific tasks.
What is a program, an application, or an app?
This is a type of input device that can record videos and take pictures. It can also transmit video over the Internet in real time, which allows for video chat or video conferencing with someone else.
What is a Webcam or Web Camera?
A personal computer that can be easily moved and used in a variety of locations.
What is a Laptop?
A hardware device that allows you to connect several computers and other devices to a single Internet connection.
What is a Router?
Located on the motherboard, it is sometimes called the brain of the computer, and its job is to carry out commands. Whenever you press a key, click the mouse, or start an application, you're sending instructions to it.
What is the central processing unit (CPU) or processor?
The most important software that runs on a computer. It manages the computer's memory and processes, as well as all of its software and hardware. It also allows you to communicate with the computer without knowing how to speak the computer's language. Without it, a computer is useless.

If you plan to use the Internet at home, you'll usually need to purchase an Internet connection from this.
