1. Inform the driver that they cannot enter the base since their vehicle does not meet the federal requirements and you must turn them around.
2. Obtain Driver's License from Driver
3. Place traffic cone directly in front of vehicle and have them put their vehicle in park.
4. Proceed to the rear of vehicle with License in hand and call dispatch.
EX: "Dispatch A-402 I have a turn around when ready."
5. When prompted call to the dispatch the vehicle's color, make, model, registration state and tag number as well as the driver's license state, license number, the driver's name and give your reason for turnaround.
Ex: No military affilliation.
6. Remove cone, stop all outbound traffic and have other sentries hold inbound traffic.
7. Direct driver to make a U-turn with hand and arm signals/whistle and have them stop on the other side of the ECP.
8. Return license to driver, send them on their way, and call to dispatch that your turnaround is complete.
What are your steps for a Protest at another gate?
Remain vigilant for possible protestors near your assigned ECP. Be ready to report any suspicous activity to Dispatch.

5. If vehicle was stopped by HACS, Rifleman will take their weapon from condition 3 to condition 1 while taking cover, and keep eyes and weapon trained on the suspect until patrol arrives.

Imagine This Scenario:
While working high traffic hours at gate 3a you call a red-in-color Ford Mustang with no front license plate to you from the white line and while not paying attention, the driver veers off to the side and collides with the jersey barrier you are standing behind. What is your response from here? The driver is startled, but uninjured.
2. Call over the radio for a patrol unit to respond to your location for a traffic accident.
3. Collect ID, Driver's License, Registration and Proof of Insurance and be ready to hand them to the responding patrol.

While working light traffic at gate 5 you call a vehicle with a lone female occupant to you for identification. She is wearing very large sunglasses and you cannot properly identify her so you ask her to remove them. She reluctantly does and upon removal you observe that her eyes are red and puffy with tears streaming down her face and a large bruise covers her left eye. What steps should you take from here?
1. Have her pull over to a safe location where you can interview her.

Discover/ Recognize a suspicious package at the ecp. Use duress word to notify other sentries of the IED.
Cease transmission of all radio comms within mandatory evacuation range. The only authorized electronics for use will be labeled with a HERO sticker.
Establish Landline comms with SOC/Patrols outside of perimeter for relay to Dispatch.
If suspect is present, use verbal commands to direct them to remove the package if IED is confirmed, apprehend and search all suspects.
Provide Dispatch and Chain with Salute Report.
Evacuate the surrounding area to the appropriate standoff distance.
Take cover as required.
maintain 360 degree awareness and remain alert for additonal attacks.

Imagine This Scenario:
While working high traffic hours at Gate 2. An angry person exits their car after nearly leaving the ECP, then runs up behind one of your fellow sentries, who he is much larger than, and tackles them to the ground attempting to wrench their sidearm out of their holster. You are the POIC with 3 other sentries at your disposal. What is your response? The suspect is screaming about "The Voices" and how they are telling him to kill himself or they will.
BONUS: Would the smaller sentry be justified in employing deadly force on this individual should they get their weapon free?
1. Secure your lane/s of traffic and immediately call on the radio with your situation and description of the suspect and request immediate patrol response to your location.
2. Assist in gaining control of the suspect and placing them into custody. Perform proper search on suspect.
3. Have your remaining sentries secure all other traffic but remain within distance to assist if needed.
4. Once patrol arrives turn suspect over and be ready to give a full account of events in as much detail as possible.
Bonus: Yes, with the size difference and the attempt of taking a gun out of an officer's holster, the triangle would be complete and your sentry would be justified to employ deadly force.
What are your PPR steps for an individual carrying a PCIED at your ECP?
Recoginze PCIED if found
Cease radio traffic unitl out of range.
Establish landline comms with SOC/patrols outside of perimeter for relay to Dispatch.
Immediately draw your weapon and give verbal commands for the Carrier to stop. Establish Stand-Off distance from potential IED. If Carrier does not stop utilize Deadly Force Continuum to prevent hostile actions, including detonation.
If IED is carried and not worn and suspect is compliant bring suspect away from IED, apprehend, and search. IF worn, do NOT search.
All peronnel at post not directly in contact with the suspect should taker cover and maintain 360.
provede SALUTE Report to RDC and Chain.
Secure Gate and Deploy HACS.
Senior sentry establishes ICP with appropriate EVAC distance while keeping a line of sight on suspect and ECP. Senior sentry is Incident Commander until relieved by higher authority.
Provide best possible description of IED to Dispatch.
IF on a gate with no HACS ensure perimeter is maintained and non-essential personnel and vehicles evacuate the affected area, notify dispatch with updates.
