What is the sclera?
Colorful, shiny material located behind the retina, or found in animals with good night vision.
What is the tapetum?
A colorful part of the back of the eye. Something that the sheep eye has that a human eye does not and causes the eye to glow in the dark.

Opening (or hole) in the iris that contracts or expands (changes size) in order to let light into the eye.
What is the pupil?
The usually clear fluid that helps the cornea keep its rounded shape (In our eye dissection this looked watery and dark, like black pen ink).
What is the aqueous humor?
A tough, clear covering over the iris and the pupil that helps protect the eye.
What is the cornea?
Cord or eye structure connected to the brain, that carries the messages from the eye to the brain so that your brain can understand what you see.
What is the optic nerve?
The colored part of the eye.

Shield that protects your eye from bugs, sand & dirt, etc.
