ולמלשינים
Destroy our enemies. Especially those who inform on us.
והעלה ארוכה ורפואה שלימה לכל מכותינו
Bring a complete healing and cure to all of our sores and sicknesses,
הָשִׁיבָה שׁוֹפְטֵינוּ כְּבָרִאשׁוֹנָה
Bring back our fair and honest judges, such as Moshe and Aharon, as in early times.
וְלַמַּלְשִׁינִים אַל תְּהִי תִקְוָה, וְכָל הַמִּינִים וְכָל הָרִשְׁעִים כְּרֶגַע יֹאבֵדוּ
May there be no hope for those who inform on their fellow Jews. May all the heretics who do not believe in Hashem and His Torah and all the sinners be destroyed instantly.
וְתִשְׁכּוֹן בְּתוֹכָהּ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ.
and let Your Shechinah rest in it as You told us.
תקע בשופר
Gather all the Yiddin to Eretz Yisroel
וְאֵת כָּל מִינֵי תְבוּאָתָהּ לְטוֹבָה וְתֵן טַל וּמָטָר לִבְרָכָה
and bless all its different types of produce for the good so that we should have plenty of food to eat,
Summer: and give blessing.
Winter: and give dew and rain as a blessing for us.
תְּקַע בְּשׁוֹפָר גָּדוֹל לְחֵרוּתֵנוּ
Blow the great shofar to announce our freedom from galus.
וְכָל אוֹיְבֵי עַמְּךָ מְהֵרָה יִכָּרֵתוּ ומלכות הרשעה מְהֵרָה תַעֲקֹר וּתְשַׁבֵּר וּתְמַגֵּר וְתַכְנִיעֵ בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ
May You quickly uproot, break, crush, and humble the wicked kingdoms and rulers
who treat B'nei Yisrael badly; may You do this speedily in our days.
וְכִסֵּא דָוִד עַבְדְּךָ מְהֵרָה בְתוֹכָהּ תָּכִין
Quickly set up in it the throne and rulership of Dovid Hamelech, Your servant.
ולירושלים
Rebuild Yerushlayim
וְשַׂבְּעֵנוּ מִטּוּבָךְ, וּבָרֵךְ שְׁנָתֵנוּ כַּשָּׁנִים הַטּוֹבוֹת, לִבְרָכָה
Satisfy us from Your great goodness and bless this year to be like the good years
in which there was plenty of livelihood, as a blessing for us,
וְיוֹעֲצֵינוּ כְּבַתְּחִלָּה.
Bring back our advisors, our nevi’im, as we had in the beginning, long ago.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, מִשְׁעָן וּמִבְטָח לַצַּדִּיקִים
Blessed are You, Hashem, You are a support and security for Tzaddikim who believe in You.
וּמִלְּפָנֶיךָ מַלְכֵּנוּ רֵיקָם אַל תְּשִׁיבֵנוּ
Do not turn us away from You empty-handed, Hashem, our King; fulfill our requests,
את צמח דוד
Bring Moshiach
הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ וְנִוָּשֵׁעָה
Save us so that we will be saved from all pain and suffering,
וְשָׂא נֵס לְקַבֵּץ גָּלֻיּוֹתֵינוּ,
Raise a big flag so that all of B'nei Yisrael who are in galus can see it and gather around it.
וְשִׂים חֶלְקֵנוּ עִמָּהֶם, וּלְעוֹלָם לֹּא נֵבוֹשׁ כִּי בְךָ בָּטָחְנוּ
and place our portion to be from among them – may we be righteous like them. May we never be disgraced by following the yetzer hara, because we trust in You to give us the strength to overcome temptation.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, מַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן יְשׁוּעָה
Blessed are You, Hashem, Who causes the power of salvation to flourish.
Reward the Tzdikim and others
כִּי תְהִלָּתֵנוּ אָתָּה
because You are the God by Whom we praise ourselves.
וְהָסֵר מִמֶּנּוּ יָגוֹן וַאֲנָחָה
Remove from us any sadness and groaning caused by unfair judgments,
וְעַל פְּלֵיטַת בֵּית סוֹפְרֵיהֶם, וְעַל גֵּרֵי הַצֶּדֶק וְעָלֵינוּ. יְהִמוּ נָא רַחֲמֶיךָ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ
on the sofrim – the scholars – who remain from previous generations, on the righteous geirim and on us. Please awaken Your mercy, Hashem, our God, on all of these people and on us.
כִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ קִוִּינוּ כָּל הַיּוֹם
for we hope and daven for Your salvation all day.
