What is contrast?
This angle makes the character look small and weak
What is a high angle?
This angle makes a character look tough and strong.
What is a low angle?
This element might use shadows, silhouettes, or the outline of something.
What is shape?
This compositional element is about having the photo look similar, or have the same visual weight, on both sides.
What is symmetry?
This setting is about 'exposure' (how much light is in the image).
What is brightness?
This shot type is often used when a character is talking to show facial expressions and some body language.
What is a mid-shot?
This angle is often used to show a setting or action, and looks straight down.
What is a birds eye view (or overshot)?
This element uses repeating symbols, images, or designs.
What is pattern?
Photos give the subject "looking room" in the direction they are looking for what reason?

This term is used when we talk about the element of 'space'. It describes how far into the background we focus our camera.

This is how we refer to un-needed areas of a photo. Usually this can be fixed with cropping.
What is dead space?
This editing tool impacts how colourful a photo looks. This can scale from black and white, to almost neon-looking vivid colours.
