5th congressional district: Located in the northwestern part of the state, the district runs from Meriden and New Britain in central Connecticut, westward to Danbury and then surrounding Housatonic Valley, encompassing the Farmington Valley, Upper Naugatuck River Valley, and the Litchfield Hills.

Elizabeth Esty, who represents Connecticut’s 5th congressional district, decided not to seek reelection after acknowledging she mishandled knowledge that her former chief of staff had abused and threatened another member of her staff.

You are able to register online if you have a CT DMV ID, you may register to vote at the DMV when obtaining or renewing a driver’s license, otherwise you are able to complete a paper registration application and deliver it to your local Registrar of Voters before the registration deadlines. CT also has Election Day Registration available.
