Why would you not have a child clean up the playroom at the end of session and what can you do if a child is especially messy?

Some children need to be messy to fully express themselves. It can often show the chaos in a child’s life. Children need the toys and materials to fully express themselves, so in asking them to clean up we are asking them to clean up what has been expressed. It may inhibit a child's play and expression. Shorten the session for extra time to clean up if needed.
