Is this information reliable? Why?

Homework has been around nearly as long as public school, and as time goes on the homework has changed, bringing in new ideas and opinions but some of these question if we even still need homework in public schools? What purpose does homework serve? How much is too much, or too little? I personally believe that we no longer need homework in our public schools today and I’m not the only one who thinks so.
The argument for and against homework has shifted back and forth through the past 75 or so years due to events like the launch of sputnik which lead America to believe there education system lacked rigor turning them back onto home work. In the late 1960 the opinions reversed, both educators and parents became concerned that homework was cutting off social experience, outdoor recreation, and other various creative activities. But once again in 1980s home work was favored “A Nation at Risk” ,the report by the National Commission on Excellence in Education, cited homework as a defense against the rising tide of mediocrity in American education. The push for more homework continued into the 1990s, due to rigorous state-mandated academic standards...

From: Canoe Camp Corp. (@freecanoesponsor@email.net)

Dear Lani,

The Canoe Camp Corp. would love to sponsor you at the canoe competition this September. Our corporation likes to sponsor young canoers out there to help the future generation of canoers. Just send us your CreditCard info and we'll send over the money in Septenber.

Should Lani trust the corporation this email came from? Why or why not?

She shouldn't because there are multiple grammatical errors as well as their email url being suspicious and the company repeating themselves before asking for their bank information. A list of errors can be found as suspicious.
