Who must immediately be alerted when a resident or faculty member displays signs of burnout, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, or potential for violence?
The program director.
A PGY-3 resident asks permission to moonlight at a urgent care nearby. Will the hours he spends moonlighting count towards his residency duty hours?
YES! Time spent by the resident in internal and external moonlighting must be counted toward the 80-hour maximum weekly limit.
