How often will teaching faculty fill out formal resident evaluations on New Innovations?
At the end of each rotation.
Where can you find program policies and procedures?
Policies and procedures are in the resident handbook, One Drive, and eventually will be in New Innovations.
The maximum number of hours a resident can work in one-week.
80 hours when averaged over four weeks.
Residents must be able to investigate and evaluate their patient care practices, appraise and assimilate scientific evidence, and improve their patient care practices.

This committee reviews resident evaluations semi-annually, determines each resident's progress on achievement of the milestones, advises the program director regarding each resident's progress.

What is an ITE and how often will it be administered?
In-Training Examination; annually.
Have you received any faculty development yet?
We participate in faculty development each week; we are also encouraged to attend upcoming educational conferences such as the ACGME annual conference and APPD.

This committee assess the following; resident and faculty well-being, recruitment and retention, workforce diversity, scholarly activity, quality improvement and patient safety, written evaluations of the program, ITE scores, board pass rates, faculty professional development, ect.

Who must immediately be alerted when a resident or faculty member displays signs of burnout, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, or potential for violence?
The program director.
A PGY-3 resident asks permission to moonlight at a urgent care nearby. Will the hours he spends moonlighting count towards his residency duty hours?
YES! Time spent by the resident in internal and external moonlighting must be counted toward the 80-hour maximum weekly limit.
Residents must be able to provide care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health.
