Four  ways to to do this...

1.  Change the percent to a decimal and multiply

2.  Set up a proportion.

25% means 25 out of 100 ...25/100

25/100  =  ? /12    Cross multiply 12 x 25 =300.  Then divide by 100.  300 ÷  100 =3

3.  If you know that 25% =  25/100 =  1/4...
