How are shadows made?
Shadows are made by blocking light. Light rays travel from a source in straight lines. If an object gets in the way, it stops light rays from traveling through it. This results in an area of darkness appearing behind the object.
Why is it warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter?
The tilt of the earth is toward the sun in the summer and away from the sun in the winter.
