Not reasonable from standards perspective. Correct tool is to use the impact rated sockets, normally colored black for easy reference.

No, gloves are not standard of work with bench grinders. They are loose so they will get pulled in.
An employee said that the task of lifting a 500lb item above your heads is safe. What is the document called that demonstrates several people verified this is a safe risk?
Risk Assessment.
The HRO you signed off on the PTP has just changed. Should you amend the PTP?
Yes. PTP will take you step by step on addressing the task creep that just occurred.
A contractor came on site to do some work, however no one knows why they are here at that current point in time. You infer they were approved, but not sure. Should you let them continue work?
NO! Don't let contractors do work if you, the leader at that time, don't know the content. Call and escalate and find out answers, if no answers then turn them away.
Should you buy your own PPE for the job?
NO! Request your workplace and manager supply you PPE, it is their responsibility to ensure you have PPE.

NO! Request your workplace and manager supply you with the correct tool, it is their responsibility to ensure you have the right tool for the job.

YES! Don't risk your own safety to please someone else in regards to maintenance.
The high risk operation is not laid out within the PTP on this task. Should you move forward in doing the task anyways?
NO! High risk operations are meant to be captured on PTP. If it's not, then this issue needs to be escalated and confirmed if this is within our scope of work.
I got injured on the job, I don't want to risk someone getting in trouble, should I just keep quiet?
NO! Mistakes happen. We learn and correct. Failure to report it early on, can severely set you back in terms of work compensation if the injury gets worse.
