What are the parent participation requirements for in SNAP?

We require one parent to be present for the duration of treatment. It does not need to be the same parent.

What is the screening process for SNAP?

1. Added to SNAP waitlist and categorized by gender/age

2. Assessment with Brief Intake Screener Form 

3. If score within the clinical range, scheduled for a face-to-face intake

4. During intake, further assessment is completed for group readiness

5. If appropriate, the client is placed in a group

T/F: SNAP clients are required to complete the same Risk Assessment as complex clients (e.g., those in the POD)? 

True! SNAP clients complete Risk Assessments every 30, 60 or 90 days!

What is the exclusionary criteria for the SNAP Program?

- ASD

- FASD (*considerations on an individual basis)

- High risk self-harm and suicidality

- Complex and unresolved family conflict (e.g., custody disputes, inconsistent caregivers)

If additional supports are deemed appropriate for a family after they complete the SNAP program, how do they access the support?

Brief support can be offered afterward through the SNAP program. If they are unable to meet their family needs through brief services, they would be transferred to the POD.
