Even though you're enjoying your time alone you decide to walk over to them and see how they are doing. You offer to have lunch together.

You see someone in the hallway drop their paper, but they don't notice. You pick it up and bring it to them and say "You dropped this." They say "Thank you, that was so nice!" You feel uncomfortable so you run away.

The first thing you did was appropriate. Go you! The next thing you should have done is say you're welcome or introduce yourself or some other polite gesture to close the conversation.

Your friend didn't complete his math homework last night. He asks you for your paper so he can copy it quickly before class. You think this is cheating and say no. 

Answers vary but ultimately you are Thinking of Others. You do not want yourself or your friend to get in trouble or do the wrong thing. You can offer to help him in other ways.

You would like to make more friends with the new student in your math class. He seems funny and dependable. You start talking about a certain game you are both interested in. When you walk out with him after class you try to strike up a conversation with him but he ignores you and keeps walking.
