Talk before you walk.  I  should make an appropriate comment such as, "I have to go but maybe we can talk more about this later", "that's cool, interesting, etc but I have to get going" to close out the conversation so that they know you need to stop and am going to walk away without being rude.

False.  It is ok to not like someone but we need to treat them respectfully as we would want to be treated.  If you do not want to talk with someone you do not like you still need to acknowlege their questions by answering politely if it is a simple question and if they seem to want to continue and start a conversation you can say you do not want to talk right now or you are doing something etc.  It is always important to do things in a respectful way, remember even people we do not like have feelings and they can get hurt just like yours can.
