A job is what you can do right now. You can get a job and learn many different smaller skills that can help you in high school, college, or anywhere else after graduation. A career is what you want to do for a longer time after high school or college. You learn skills about that career at a trade school, college, university, etc. You spend many years being taught the skills and knowledge in order to start your new career in whatever you decide to do.
