12.0 Fire Chief’s Expectations of all personnel
12.1 All personnel shall conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and maintain the department’s core values: integrity, excellence, and dedication in all dealings with others.
12.2 All personnel shall place the goals and objectives of the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department ahead of their own professional goals and objectives and conduct themselves and their efforts in a manner that benefits the organization as a whole.
12.3 All personnel shall uphold the mission, vision, values, polices, and programs of the ToC and the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department and present a positive public image at all times.
12.4 All personnel shall promote and defend the openness and honesty of the organization.
12.5 All personnel shall work to support the respect, safety, and success of all other employees in the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department.
12.6 All personnel shall maintain open communication with their assigned supervisor and keep their supervisor informed of the status of their work assignments, assigned equipment, and professional concerns and needs.
12.7 All personnel shall make every effort (within the policies of the department) to be as helpful as possible to any citizen/resident/visitor at any time.
12.8 All personnel shall base their actions and words on careful thought and their professional training at all times as well as giving their best efforts, their best skills, their best courage, and their best attitude towards their work.
12.9 All personnel shall maintain and exhibit pride in themselves, pride in their position, pride in their work, pride in their uniform, pride in their unit, pride in the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department and pride in the Fire Service.
