KWH is a kilowatt-hour. This is a unit of energy - the more KWH consumed, the higher the electric bill. The more kwh your produce, the smaller your electric bill.

How do I get electric if it is not sunny out?
When its bright and sunny - the system is overproducing. That extra electric gets stored and used when its not sunny out.
