An exact location on a plane.
A point
Is almost like a combination of a line and a line segment. It only has one endpoint and the other side extends infinitely.
Ray
An angle is an angle that is less than 90 degrees. An angle is formed by two rays which intersect at their endpoints which are combined to create the vertex.
Acute Angle
They are line segments that connect to many points, creating a shape.
This shape is NOT a polygon because it does not have an sides.
a circle
Two lines that intersect.
Intersecting Lines
Is made out of two endpoints that extend outwards forming never-ending-rays.
Vertex
A one dimensional object that has no width, depth or curvature. It extends infinitely in 2 opposite directions.
Line
This shape is a quadrilateral with all sides the same, but NO right angles.
a rhombus
A straight line, with a ending point and a starting point. (does not extend infinitely)
line segment
It is made out of two rays that meet and create a vertex and create an angle that is over 90 degrees.
Obtuse Angle
A unit of measurement. We use it to measure angles to find out whether or not its obtuse, right, or acute. We can also use them for creating angles ourselves.
Degrees
This shape's three angles always measure 180 degrees
a triangle
Lines are lines that will never intersect. They will continue to live side by side on the same plane/dimension.
Parallel Lines
An angle that always measures 180 degrees.
Straight Angle
A line (or lines) that separate a shape into two equal parts.
Line of symmetry
A point that is at the start or end of a line segment. It usually is connected to another one of its own but it could also be connected to a ray.
An endpoint
These lines are intersecting creating two pairs of 90 degree angles.
Perpendicular Lines
It is made out of two rays which their endpoints meet at the vertex, creating a 90 degree angle. If the angle does not have the little box at the vertex, you cannot assume, even if it looks like one.
Right Angle
This shape is a quadrilateral with 4 right angles and all sides the same length.
