What does the title "Speak" resemble in this book?
The title "Speak" resembles Melinda's inability to come out and speak up about what happened to her at the party. Throughout the book you see her debating if she should say something or if she should just pretend nothing happened. Her friends never speak to her either so that doesn't help either. However at the end of the book, she confides in Rachelle and you see her opening up. At the end of the book she gains her confidence and finally opens up and "speaks" and tells everyone what really happened at the party.
