This animal is known for its tail and ears. The ears have a hairstyle of their own, and the tail is quite short. This animal's name includes a country name as well. (Hint: It likes snow and hunting hares)
What is a Canada Lynx?
This animal is a big eater: it can eat around 16 tonnes of food every day, which would be like drinking around 8000, 2 litre pop bottles. It is Endangered, with an estimated of 10-25,000 animals left. The oldest this animal has been found was 110 years old. (Hint: It can produce milk)
What is a Blue Whale?
This is the most important animal in Western movies and was important for Barbie. Despite the fact that the characters of Westerns are named after something else, this animal always makes an appearance.
What is a Horse?
This flying animal became Endangered due to habitat loss, hunting, and pesticide use. Through protections and changes to laws, this brown-feathered animal has now recovered, and is no longer on the Species at Risk list. It has large talons, and likes to fly high in the sky, but the most important thing, is that it is named after a hairstyle.
What is a Bald Eagle?
This animal has no brain and many arms. It is see-through and can defend itself just by touching predators.
What is a Jellyfish?
This animal is named after another animal's face. It knows how to put on a show to avoid predators, and fakes being rotten. It is a reptile found in Saskatchewan and is technically venomous, though many people say it isn't.
What is a Hognose Snake?
This animal can learn sign language and loves to eat plants. It often makes a new nest to sleep in, sleeping around twelve hours per night. They mostly like to stay in tropical rainforests, where the females and kids climb, but males usually stay on the ground. All species are Critically Endangered and only found in Africa.

This animal is famous for the noise it makes. When you hear an eagle in movies, it is actually the sound this bird makes. Its name is all about the colour of part of its body.
What is a Red-tailed Hawk?
This famous carnivore was Endangered, but has improved to Vulnerable. Its main threats are poaching, habitat loss, and having fewer things to hunt. This mountain-living animal is famous for its spotted fur and long tail.
What is a Snow Leopard?
This animal has really good hearing. It can actually talk to others from up to 15 kilometres away, making long distance calls simple. It uses these sounds to keep up to date and to make plans for hunting. This animal is one of the best hunters on the planet.
What is an Orca/Killer Whale?
This animal does NOT hibernate. It does sleep a lot during the winter though, in a state called torpor. This animal gets a special name if they have golden fur on their necks/backs, but otherwise people usually just use the main colour of their fur as part of their name.
What is a Grizzly/Brown Bear?
This animal is at the top of the food chain, even hunting humans. This animal is sadly endangered due to its habitat disappearing and changing. This animal walks far and wide, one once went 4796 kilometres and BACK again!
What is a Polar Bear?
This movie animal is famous for the sound it makes, chasing cars, and eating a goat. In the movie it had moved into the extinct animal list, but recovered to Near-Extinct.
What is a T-Rex (Jurassic Park)?
This small carnivore was once on the edge of becoming extinct and was totally extirpated (no longer found in) from Canada. Teams worked very hard to keep this animal alive, and it was brought back to the wild in Alberta and Saskatchewan, where it is thriving. It is named after another word for fast or agile, and has red-furred cousins here in Saskatchewan.

This animal's name tells you exactly what watery habitat it lives in. It is the heaviest reptile around, with confirmed weights of up to 2000kg (4400lbs)! It has been measured up to 6.3m (20.7ft) long. This animal can be found in India, South East Asia, and Australia.

This animal does not stay in enclosures. It is known just from the sound it makes, but also its attitude. They have babies near water, and get a nickname that talks about TWO other animals.

The largest of its family, this carnivore is considered Threatened. It is found across northern Canada and known for being one of the toughest critters around. It makes long journeys within a massive territory. (Hint: its name starts with a W, but isn't a type of dog)

These animals are known for their voices, they sing and have an enemy that wants to force them into getting jobs. There is 3 of these rodents and they have 3 female friends of the same species.
Who are Alvin and the Chipmunks?
This animal is a famous inhabitant of the Amazon. Illegal hunting, habitat loss, and habitat fragmentation (the habitat is split into separate parts) caused this animal to become Near-Threatened and in decline. Conservation efforts beginning in the late 1990s and 2000s have helped this large carnivore to begin recovering. The animal is known for its distinctive fur pattern, and having a car brand named after it.
