Food Dishes
When I am whole, I am round. When I am sliced, I am a triangle. I have tomato sauce and cheese on me, and you can add a bunch of other toppings, like pepperoni and/or veggies.
What is pizza?
I spy with my little eye something made of glass. You can open me to get fresh air on a nice day. You can close me when it is raining. You can look out of me to see things like birds.
What is a window?
I have tables, chairs and waiters/waitresses. Customers come here to order food and eat. They can dine in or take out.
What is a restaurant?
This event takes place in December usually before the holiday break. The students either perform with the band or with the performing arts group. The show is usually about a special holiday message.
What is the holiday show?
On this trip you use a heavy ball and roll it down the aisle. The goal is knock down as many pins as possible. Everyone hopes to get a strike!
What is the bowling alley?
I am usually eaten for breakfast. You can scramble me, fry me, flip me, and put me on bread. You can also pair things like bacon, ham, and/or cheese with me.
What is eggs?
I spy with my little eye something that you sit on. I am soft and smooth and usually you find me in the living room. A lot of people sit on me when they are watching TV.
What is a couch/sofa?
You live here. You do things like sleep, eat, shower and relax here.
What is your home?
We have two of these events; one for the students and one for the staff. All participants showcase their special talent. Some of those usually include singing and dancing. Sometimes the participants also make videos to present on a screen.
What is the talent show?
On this trip you can buy popcorn, soda, and other treats. You sit in the audience and watch something projected on to a big screen. You need a ticket to enter the theater.
What is the movie theater?
I am a type of meat that you put between a bun. You can put cheese on me, as well as vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. I am also usually served next to a type of potato that is usually a bit salty.
What is a burger and french fries?
I spy with my little eye something that is large and found in the kitchen. I am used to keep your food and drinks cold.

This event always happens during the springtime. It has food, music, sweets, and other goods for purchase. This is to raise money for our school community. It typically occurs in our school yard.
What is the spring fair?
On this trip you walk around and see a bunch of animals. Some of these animals include: giraffes, gorillas, elephants and monkeys.
What is the zoo?

I am made up of a certain type of pasta. I am covered in tomato sauce. I am also served with meat that is shaped like a circle. Some people eat garlic bread with me.
What is spaghetti and meatballs?
I spy with my little eye something that can be round, square or rectangular. It has chairs with it. You usually gather around this table to have a meal, such as breakfast or dinner.
What is the kitchen/dining room table?
You go here for check-ups or appointments when you are feeling sick. You sit in the waiting room until you are called.
What is the doctor's office?
This event takes place in November. Food is served in the gym and dessert is served in the MPR. All of the staff gets together and either donates money or food/sweets so that we can all eat together as a school community.
What is the Thanksgiving feast?
On this trip you walk around and see all types of ocean life. Some exhibits are indoors and others are outdoors. People love to see the show with the dolphins and seals.
What is the aquarium?
I am a popular breakfast meal. I am round and usually served as a stack. You can put things like butter, syrup, fruit, whipped cream or chocolate chips on me.
What are pancakes?
I spy with my little eye something that stores your clothes and shoes. They come in all different sizes and help to keep you organized.
What is the closet?
I am a large store that you go to in order to buy food and drinks. Here you see people, aisles, shopping carts and cashiers.
What is the supermarket?
This event is to showcase all of our many work-sites. Every work-site class has a table that is filled with poster boards, pictures, and other items that represent where they work and the skills needed to work there. This event takes place in both the MPR and the gym.
What is the work-study fair?
On this trip you walk instead of taking the school bus. You go to different nearby places and work on skills such as ordering food, paying for items and how to be safe in your environment.
