Use the remote and watch me with your eyes. I can give you the new, stories or even some lies.
Television
Put me in and turn to open a door. I can unlock gates, cabinets and much more.
Key
Use me on the stove to cook dinner. Watch the water boil and sauces cook and simmer.
Pan
I am full of holes but I clean. I wash pots and pans and make them gleam.
Sponge
When the time comes and it's the end of the day, lay down on me and hit the hay.
Bed
Look at me and I'll look back. Ge seven years of bad luck if I crack.
Mirror
I can have heels or I can be flat. Don't forget to wipe me clean on the doormat.
Shoes
Put me on when the temperature starts to drop. Wrap up warm and button me up to the top.
Coat or jacket
Sit down here and rest your feet. I hope you are hungry, it's time to eat.
Dining table and chair
In the shower or bath, you can find me there. Lather me up for freshly cleaned hair.
Shampoo
Switch me on and type on my keys. My kind of mouse doesn't need cheese.
Computer
Open me up and enter a new world. Just make sure my pages don't get curled.
Book
I can write a novel or I can write a note. I'm mightier than the sword and that's a quote.
Pen
Open me up to let in the light. I help to keep outdoors out of sight.
Curtain/blinds
Watch as my hands tick round and round. I usually have batteries but I sometimes need to be wound.
Watch
You use me morning and night. Scrubbing away plaque, I'll put up a fight.
Toothbrush
Out of my mouth, I breathe hot air. So wave goodbye to your wet hair.
Hairdryer
I can be scented or I can be plain. Watch me melt as you set me aflame.
Candle
Plug me in and hear me roar. I get rid of dirt on the floor.
Vaccuum
Whenever your phone seems drained or dying, plug me in and soon the battery will be flying. (not literally flying :)
Charger
Whenever you go traveling, there I am . Unzip me, fill me with clothes, as much as you can cram.
Suitcase/luggage
You need two of me, I always have a twin. You wear me on your legs, down from the shin.
Socks
Hard and crunchy I grow in the ground. I am an orange vegetable that is long and not round.
Carrot
Spread me with butter if you are feeling plain. Or a sticky fruit jelly for something less mundane.
Toast
