This is the most common cause of screen damage.

You would do this as soon as you realize there is damage to your device.

Oh no! I made a mistake! I can use this key combination to undo my last action.
What is Ctrl + Z?

Anything sticky or that could leave crumbs/spill chips, 🍟 soda, 🥤water, candy 🍕...

This key is the 4th key on the top row of a Chromebook and it updates the page you are on.
What is the refresh key?
The place in the classroom I should NEVER leave my Chromebook.

This is the page where you can find titles and authors of books and where they are located in the library.
What is Destiny Discover?
You forgot your chromebook at home! What should you do?
1st: check to see if your classroom loaners are in use. OR visit library during the first hour of the morning to get a loaner.
2nd: go to clever and fill out the CB Help Form.
3rd: Check the box with email, grade, and select chromebook, forgot my chromebook and hit submit
If you need to search a document for a certain word, you would use this shortcut?
What is Ctrl + F?
If your chromebook gets wet, falls in a puddle or water spilled on it what should you do?
Do not turn it on. Let it dry and bring to the library. In many cases when the device is fully dry it should work again.
My search is blocked!
When you do a search in the browser bar [omni bar] and it is blocked by district filters what should you do?
First try the search in a search engine web page and refine your topic.
Searching from the omni bar uses sponsored results to populate and are often filtered before page can load.
This is the name of the contract that you sign at the start of the year as a PROMISE to follow district policies.

For Teachers: Biohazards can damage chromebooks. What should you do if this accidentally happens?
If possible record barcode and student name to give to the librarian. Wrap up and dispose of in garbage bag. Tech department does not need us to send it.
Your internet is not working! What should you do?
First confirm internet is connected to: CCSD15 Password: getonboard
Second if coming from home to school device may need to run a restart.
Third see library for additional support.
