A Political Map provides information about states, cities, countries and continents

A Physical Map tells information about landforms such as planes, hills, mountains, deserts, and bodies of water

The horizontal line that divides the earth into the northern and southern hemi- (1/2)- spheres
What is a Map Scale?
It shows how the distance between the two locations on a map compares to the distance in real life
What is the Prime Merididan?
The vertical line that runs north to south which divides the earth in half to form the western and eastern hemispheres
