Every person has different circumstances and schedules that may not allow them to take on a full time schedule. There are also other factors, such as developmental courses or ESL placements that you must take and pass in order to take college level courses.

You retain less information when you cram. Also, the quality of work you do is less than the kind you do when you plan accordingly. There is a big difference between a B and an A paper.

You will receive financial aid forever, as long as you are enrolled in college.
As long as you meet the qualifications for Federal and State Aid, you will only receive a total of 12 semesters of PELL and 8 TAP. In community college, you will be limited to 6 semesters. You will also need to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress in order to receive your award.

Attendance is not that important. So you don’t have to go to class.
Your attendance is tied to your grade, and especially financial aid. If you stop attending a course, you will be liable for the cost of the class, and you will receive an F grade, which will affect your GPA.
