Text structure is how a piece of writing is organized. Authors use different structures depending on what they want to explain or show.
Cause and Effect- Explains why something happened and what happened because of it.
Compare and Contrast - Shows how two or more things are similar and different.
Problem and Solution - Shows a problem and then gives one or more solutions.
Sequence / Chronological - Events are told in time order (like a timeline).
Description - Gives lots of details about a person, place, or thing.
