Revise means-
to fix/ make a revision
When a sentence needs to be revised there is something that should be fixed in the sentence.
common noun vs proper noun
common is a regular word ex: teacher
proper is the actual name that should be capitalized
ex: Mrs. West

Most of the time add s
es if the word ends in s, ss, sh, ch, x, or z
if the word ends in y change the y to an i then add es.
