AESOP
Length of time a student must stay at school in order to be considered in attendance

This program is led by the school counselor and focuses on students learning about positive character traits. Two students per classroom are nominated on a monthly basis.
Character Counts
This type of drill will occur on a monthly basis. Students will need to know the correct evacuation route for this drill within the first week.
Fire Drill
The expected time frame to return emails and/or phone calls to parents, administration or district personnel.

When a teacher is absent, he/she must leave this folder in a visible place on their desk. It should include: a class list, seating chart, class and school schedule, detailed lesson plans, procedures & expectations.
Sub Folder
When returning to school after an absence, the student has three days to provide this documentation to the front office
Written excuse from parent/guardian or doctor's note
Each time the office, the PBIS Coordinator or Administration are called for behavior support the teacher must complete a referral for the behavior in this online system.
Educator's Handbook
Whenever there is a drill, this person will give the signal that students and staff are cleared to re-enter the building.
The Principal
If an accident causing injury occurs, you must report it to the office, notify the child’s parent and complete this report.
Accident Report
This type of leave can only be used when school is not in session.
Annual Leave
This type of absence is granted for reasons such as: illness or injury, doctor or dental appointments, death in the immediate family, court, religious observances and educational opportunities.
Excused Absences
This person is expected to contact a parent/guardian every time a student is referred to the office
Referring Teacher
This type of drill requires students to go into the hallway and crouch down covering the back of their heads for protection.
Tornado Drill
Staff should report to work by this time.

These plans are due to the front office by September 28th. These plans should cover three days of lessons.
Emergency Sub Plans
If the child has 3 unexcused absences and the teacher is not able to get in contact with the parent, the teacher must notify this person.
Social worker
These are the two school wide behavior support systems used at our school. One focuses on making less desired behavior more functional by teaching students to replace inappropriate behaviors with positive behaviors. The other focuses on building relational capacity with students in order to prevent behavior issues.

CKH (Capturing Kids Hearts)
When entering the building in the morning, students should report to this location if needed. Once students have left this location and went to their classrooms, they may not go back here in the morning.
Cafeteria
Administration and instructional coaches can expect to find your lesson plans located in this place on a daily basis.
Red Folder
One hour of time that is extended to all staff when emergencies or unexpected situations occur.
Flex Time
When a student has accumulated this number of unexcused absences in a school year, the principal will notify a district attorney.

Classroom Emergency Procedures Guide
Extended PLCs occur on a bi-weekly basis. These PLCS last 90 minutes and are held in order to analyze student assessments using this process.
