Swimming pool wristbands and what do each of the colors indicate?
There are three colors of wristbands: red, purple and blue. Red means they MUST have a
lifejacket on and be within arm’s reach of a leader. Purple means they did NOT pass the
swim test and need to wear a lifejacket in the deep pool. Blue means the camper does not
need a lifejacket.

The procedure for unauthorized pick-up?
- Contact the parent or guardian for confirmation.
- Do not leave child alone.
- This person may not leave with the child unless: parent or guardian has given verbal acceptance.
- Valid ID must still be presented after parent or guardian approval.
- Phone the supervisor, and if the situation escalates, phone proper authorities.
What to do if I have a sick camper?
When a child is feeling ill, they will be given a quiet area to rest and will remain under supervision until they feel better, or their parent/guardian picks them up. Team Leaders will phone parent/guardian to pick up if needed.
You are on an out trip and a camper is in a heightened state. They are now running away from the group and they are yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs.

- One leader will follow the child, run if they are being unsafe and reckless or just follow behind if they are wanting space.
- Calm down, talk about it, reassure/listen, find a solution, use a teaching lesson, and fill out a Behavior Report form to follow up to parents.

Waiver 2025 - Yearly, Liability Waiver is a legal document that a person who participates in an activity may sign to acknowledge the risks involved in their participation.

Administer Medication - If medication is needed, the approval to administer medication during camp hours.
Code of Conduct - An agreement that the participant will follow our code of conduct and failure to do so will result in consequences.
What is the Behavior Management and Discipline Policy?
Behavior Report - To be completed when there are any unacceptable behaviors that require follow up.
Time to Think - Requires one or more behaviour sheets to be filled out first.
What is the swim test? Who can lead a swim test?
This swim test will be done for the width of the pool that they are swimming in. They must swim from wall to wall without touching the bottom or side of the pool and without stopping and their head must be underwater. They must tread water without touching the bottom or side for 30 seconds consistently. Team Leaders are responsible for leading and updating the list Swim Test list weekly.
