Is our pottery dishwasher/microwave safe?

"Low fire earthenware", which is the majority of the product sold in studios, is not recommended to be used in the microwave, oven or dishwasher because this ceramic material is very porous. When it is in the microwave and\or dishwasher, moisture can get in through the stilt marks and the "Low fire earthenware" will expand as it absorbs the moisture. Then as it dries out, it contracts. This expansion\contraction of the ware can cause cracks that resemble crazing.
