Name 3 differences between present simple and present continuous
Present simple is used for habits, routines often with adverbs of frequency and present continuous is used to describe actions that happen in the very moment.
PRESENT SIMPLE
-In present simple affirmative we add -s to the third person (She sings)
-In present simple negative we use the auxiliary verb Do not/don't or does not/doesn't for the 3rd person (She doesn't sing)
-In present simple questions we use the auxiliary do/does at the beginning (Does she sing?)
PRESENT CONTINUOUS
-We use the verb to be (I'm, you're, he's, we're, you're and they're) and the lexical verb -ing. (She's singing)
-In present continuous negative we add not after he verb 'to be' (She's not singing)
-In present continuous questions we use the verb 'to be' + subject + lexical verb (Is she singing? Yes, she is. No, she isn't)
