When should you do meal counts/ what qualifies a child to be marked for meal count
If they are in the room when the meal gets dropped off. Even if they are leaving.

ALL DAY!

Structuring the day with a balance of guided play and free play. The children learn through play based off the creative curriculum.

We discuss the progress of the children during parent teacher conferences, we explain the color bands.

Giving the children opportunity to have open-ended play, to see what their needs and abilities are to then set goals for them.
What methods do you use to collect evidence of your children skills and abilities?
Sticky notes, observations, notebooks.
Explain the methods used to identify the needs/ interests/ abilities of your children and give an example of an intentional activity or experience that was recently planned.
Observe the children, seeing their interests and abilities. Using those create a lesson plan or an Indv. child plan.
Provide an example of how families are helped to understand the assessment process, how the data is collected and progress their child is making toward their learning goals
We observe the children and collect documentation, using the documentation we assess where the children are physically, mentally etc. Give report cards, hold PTC. When a child meets a goal, share it with the parent and create a new goal.
