A member (or non-member) comes up to you in a room that you're using and says "I have rented the room for the day." What do you do?
Respectfully ask them to speak with the front desk about their "reservation".
What if a camper shows up and they are not on your roster?
Try to understand why they are here and contact a supervisor to help you with the situation.
Parent Check-In should catch this first thing in the morning
What do you if you see a group of camp kids misbehaving/horse playing in the water?
Remove them from the water
Investigate the situation and have them sit out for a few minutes (depends on situation)

A fight breaks out between two campers and your the only counselor in the room. What steps do you take?
Try to separate them
Contact a Supervisor
Make sure other campers are away from the situation
Your group is scheduled to go outside but it begins to rain, What do you do?
Double check the other groups schedules for other areas that your group can use.
Find an alternative activity for the time being.

Make sure that they wear a life jacket during swim time.
Allow them to retest the next day if they wish.

Communicate with the other group to see if there are ways the two groups can share or switch gym times.

The Camp Counselor you've been with all week has come down with COVID. What do you do?
They will contact health officials and begin contact tracing
A camper does not want to participate in any of the planned activities for the day. What do you do?
Give them an alternative activity.
Encourage them to try the activities.
Contact a supervisor to assist in handling the situation.
What do you do when a male camper has to use the locker room to change, but you are not a male counselor and there are no male counselors scheduled for the day?
Get with Shannon to help find a male associate in the facility
You're on your Nature Walk and a camper needs to use the bathroom. What do you do?
You contact another counselor to see if they are available to meet your group so they can take them to the restroom.
Depending on how far you are in your walk you may be able to ask them to hold it.
A camper does not bring a towel/bathing suit bottoms for swim time. What do you do?
Depends on when they camper notifies you of the issue then you may contact parents to see if they can bring the missing items.
If not at a good time, they can be given an alternative activity to do.
A parent wants you to have their kid wear a masks during camp but the child does not want to. He continues to take it off everyday. What do you do?
Explain to him why he needs to wear his masks.
Speak to parent about the situation.
What do you do if a child runs away from you on a field trip?
1. If they are with another group; have the counselor supervise your group while you tend to the child
