Caller reaches out in July to share that student missed a lot of school the year prior. When OEO informed caller that we'd call back once we resume cases and reaches, we learn that student has been attending regularly for now. Caller shares that it's only been a few weeks and they are afraid student will start to miss school and wants help to ensure student stays in school.

an approach in Washington State that provides voluntary comprehensive behavioral health services and supports to Medicaid eligible individuals, up to 21 years of age, with complex behavioral health needs and their families. The services are available in home and community settings and are based on the individualized needs of the child or youth.

Parent was informed of OEO’s services through staff at International Rescue Committee. Student is in the 5th grade and the teacher thinks student may benefit from an evaluation to see if student is eligible to receive special education services. Parent is confused about what to expect and had only been informed that student would be receiving services to help learn English.

Caller is student’s parent and shares that student was severely bullied by another student. The two students were friends at one point and continue to be neighbors. Caller shares her daughter has been shoved multiple times and mocked for her appearance. Parent shares that the bullying was bad enough that she enrolled student in another school in a neighboring district. Parent expresses her concern about the lack of action taken by the previous school and shares she filled out multiple incident reports.

Asylee
Caller shares they, along with their two children live with caller’s brother. Caller and their 2 children will no longer have a place to stay in a few days following their brother’s move to another state. Caller shared this information with the assistant principal about a month ago. Assistant principal told caller not to worry and that there are resources available to assist. Caller has also spoken to both students’ teachers and shares no assistance has been provided with next steps.

Caller shares that they are the custodial parent who is concerned about the other parent not getting their child to school regularly when they are spending residential time with their other parent. Caller shares they've tried to work with school on this concern but says staff are not responsive.Caller says that the non custodial parent lives in a different district than where the student resides.
