It is a professional judgment as to when a student's behavior becomes problematic rather than of concern. Trainees may exhibit behaviors, attitudes or characteristics which, while of concern and requiring remediation, are not unexpected or excessive for professionals in training.

This is how often students will be evaluated for training progression through the year.

Because this is in our patient charts, we must store them in the correct place prior to leaving the office each day.
What is Protected Health Information (PHI) and raw data?
Neuropsych charts live in the ‘Current-Patients’ drawer until the report is done and distributed. For remote assessments, One Drive is used. Paper records (e.g., raw data, test materials, notes) should not be taken out of the office. If created at home during a remote visit, scan and then destroy/shred at home.
This weekly experience includes topics covering differential diagnosis, appropriate use of normative data, neuropathology, neuroanatomy, neurodevelopmental disorders, cross-cultural issues in neuropsychology, ethics, and more. Every Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 pm

This practice can be done safely, if your computer is encrypted, your files have been scanned and uploaded to our secure drives, and you are sitting in a position that does not allow others to clearly view your screen.
What is working on reports outside of the office or home?
If problems are identified, this will be put into place to provide the support and correct the problem. It will include a time frame for expectations.
What is a remediation plan?
These parties must be alerted by email or phone if you need to take a sick day or miss practicum for another reason.
Who are my supervisor and Administrative Staff (Gina Toledo and Nely Herrera)?
Please update the Outlook calendar ASAP to reflect that you will be out on a day that you are normally scheduled to be in.
Each year, trainees must present two of these to our group during didactics.
What are case presentations?
Prior to beginning an evaluation, each patient is asked to read and sign this, which includes notification of HIPAA privacy notice as well as our uses and potential disclosures of protected information.
What is Informed Consent?
The publication provided to all trainees at the outset of supervision and to all clients at the outset of therapy.
What is Therapy Never Includes Sexual Behavior?
In the event that a student encounters any difficulties or problems (e.g., poor supervision, unavailability of supervisor, evaluations perceived as unfair, workload issues, personality clashes, other staff conflict) during his/her training experiences, a student can enact this.
What is the grievance procedure?
This may include filing a formal complaint with the training director, Dr. Shelley Peery.
