What is handshake?
Handshake is an employment resource for our students to help them get jobs while at school or once they have finished school.
Do I need an appointment for the writing center or for tutoring?
It is strongly suggested that you do. Some parts of the year are really busy and they will not have any time for walkins.
Where are the Peer Coach offices located?
We are located in the Browning building.
Where is the DSUSA food pantry located?
It is located in the Gardner building on the second floor next to the Dean of students office.
How many times do you need to meet with your peer coach in a semester?
You must meet with your peer coach 4 times in the first semester.
What do you need to bring with you to the Testing Center?
Dixie ID
and possibly: scantron, pencil, professor allowed notes.
What does the HPC have to offer students?
Fittness classes, the pool, the rockwall, several courts, free weights, and various fittness machines.
What does M.I.C. stand for?

The Multicultural and Inclusion Center (M.I.C.) is a student support service established to increase diversity at Dixie State University via the recruitment and retention of students from diverse backgrounds and the enrichment of campus life through cultural and awareness activities.

How much do mental health services cost for students at the Booth Wellness Center.
Free. Mental Health services for students are paid for by Student Fees and are provided to DSU students at no additional cost to the student.
Where is the testing center located?
Across the street from main campus located in the North Plaza.
What is Cooperative Education (Co-Op) ?
Cooperative Education (Co-Op) is a class where you can recieve college credit for your job. Credit hours are based off of average work hours.
Where is the disability resource center located?
It is in the North Plaza right next to the testing center.
What is the Booth Wellness Center?
It is a place for students to get both physical and mental health help. We offer various medical health services, including sick visits, minor wound care, medical testing, lab work, and exams. We offer brief mental health services for students, staff and faculty to help deal with mental health, emotional, or behavioral issues.
What does the DSUSA Student Food Pantry offer?
The DSUSA Student Food Pantry offers canned goods and some packaged items. Also, it provides a variety of products (hygiene, feminine products, etc.) when they are available and as those supplies last. The Food Pantry does provide grocery bags for students to use during their visit.
