What are free and fair elections?

Human rights and equality are guaranteed rights that are protected and ensure that everyone is equally valued, no matter their race, religion, ethnicity, language, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

Free and fair elections are when adults have the right to run for political office, vote in elections, no threats before and after an election, and an election every 5 years or less.

Lack of interest and knowledge in politics, cynicism, relevance, civic duty.

What is political tolerance?

Accountability and transparency are when the elected candidate is responsible for their actions, attends activities/events, inform citizens regularly, takes their opinions, and does as who they represent say.

Political tolerance is when the rights of minorities are protected and when powerless people are allowed to share opinions.

1. An election worker greets you and shows you to the right table.

2. Show your proof of identity.

3. An election worker checks your name on the list of electors and gives you a folded ballot.

4. Go behind the voting screen, mark your ballot, and refold it to keep it secret.
