What is the 1st Amendment?
freedom of speech
What is the 6th Amendment?
establish rules on how the accused should be treated in court
What is the 2nd Amendment?
protects your rights to keep/bear arms (weapons) and make your own militia
What is the 7th Amendment?
extends the right to a jury in federal civil cases
What is the 3rd Amendment?
people have the right to consent for a soldier to come into their property
What is the 8th Amendment?
protects against excessive bail or fines, as well as cruel and unusual punishments

people still have rights even if they aren't listed in the constitution
What is the 5th Amendment?
protects people accused of crimes/self-incrimination
What is the 10th Amendment?
federal government has powers only delegated in the constitution (if not listed, they will belong to the states or people)
