In this game, the player, an inhabitant of Burnington, sits in front of their fireplace provided by Tomorrow Corporation in which they burn various items, each with unique properties, for coins.
As the game progresses, neighbour Sugar Plumps sends the player letters of the deteriorating state of the town which is in endless snowy weather.
By the end of the game Miss Nancy, the CEO of Tomorrow Corporation offers the player to escape the doomed city in a rocket, and it ends with the player and the Weather Man, who has been reporting the city's bleak weather throughout the game, soaring through the sky as the sun breaks through the endless snow.
