Preposition & Object of the Preposition
A PREPOSITION is a word used to show the relationship of a noun or pronoun to another word in the sentence. (A preposition always has an object of the preposition.

The OBJECT OF THE PREPOSITION is a noun or pronoun that follows a preposition and completes its meaning.

Adjective & Article
An adjective describes or modifies nouns and pronouns.
There are only three articles a, an, the.
Subject and predicate
The subject of a sentence is that part of which we speak.
The predicate of a sentence in that part which expresses what is being said about the subject.
Helping and linking verbs
A helping verb helps another verb assert action, being, or existence.
A linking is used to make an assertion by joining two words.

Verb and Adverb
A VERB is a word that does an action, shows a state of being, links two words together, or helps another verb.
An ADVERB modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb and tells: HOW, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW OFTEN, TO WHAT EXTENT, and UNDER WHAT CONDITION.
Four sentence purposes
Declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory.
Direct object
Direct object is a noun or a pronoun that receives the action of a transitive verb.
