Steins;Gate
The 4Kids Dub of One Piece features an infamous opening song in this musical genre. Don't ask me, I won't give it give it up.
Rap (Pirate Rap)
While many official subs skip over this part of each episode, fansubs make sure to translate every word, though sometimes in a style so hard to read that you may as well not have them at all.
OPs and/or EDs
Flugel der Freiheit, Wings of Liberty. The Funimation subtitles for this action show forgot to translate the German words in the opening song to English.
Attack on Titan
The initial run of this since-rebooted Military Shounen Anime has a rap scene that is translated very differently in its sub and dub.
Fullmetal Alchemist
In addition to being a Dub VA, he also plays a D&D Dungeon Master on the show "Critical Role".
Matthew Mercer
If you watch this show's dub, you will likely also need subtitles, because it is dubbed in Japanese! Its original English show was based on a web series released in 2013
RWBY
Death Note's fansub is infamous for leaving this Japanese word untranslated, along with a "Translator's Note" to define it. But don't worry, it's just according to _______!
Keikaku
In Pom Poko, Tanuki are mistakenly translated to be this in English.
Raccoons
The director allegedly prefers the English dub over the subbed version of this 1990s show.
Cowboy Bebop
This well-known Anime Dub VA also plays genius gorilla scientist "Winston" in the popular FPS game Overwatch.
Crispin Freeman
This show gained a cult following overseas for its interesting dub with lines such as "Verizon...Like Jesus it never stops working for you".
Ghost Stories
The iconic fansub line "I will now proceed to pleasure myself with this fish" is from a scene in this anime, though the character never actually says the line.
Code Geass
In this 90's anime that was caught in a legal battle for distribution outside of Japan, the main protagonist is told to "get in the car," but only a motorbike is in sight.
Macross 7
The dub of this 1990s anime has just over half the episode count of its sub.
Cardcaptor Sakura (or "Cardcaptors")
This prolific Dub VA got her first role in Dragon Ball GT in 2004, and has continued acting through 2021. She even Co-directed the American release of Fullmetal Alchemist (2004).
