How long does it take the body to process on standard drink?

About one hour per standard drink.

The liver metabolizes alcohol at a very constant rate, approximately one drink per hour. If there is excessive alcohol in the blood, the liver cannot speed up the detoxification process. The unmetabolized alcohol just continues to circulate in the bloodstream. This is intoxication – when there is a buildup of alcohol in the system.

These three mental health disorders have been linked to prolonged marijuana usage

anxiety, depression, schizophrenia.

Several studies indicate a link between marijuana use and an increased risk of mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety in individuals who are genetically predisposed. In fact, one study found that daily marijuana use, particularly at a young age, makes individuals with specific genes 7 times more likely to develop schizophrenia than people with the gene who do not use the drug. Additionally, marijuana has been shown to worsen symptoms associated with schizophrenia for those who already have the illness.

This Opioid is 50x more potent that Morphine

What is Fentanyl

It is a prescription drug that is also made and used illegally. Like morphine, it is a medicine that is typically used to treat patients with severe pain, especially after surgery.3 It is also sometimes used to treat patients with chronic pain who are physically tolerant to other opioids.

When prescribed by a doctor, fentanyl can be given as a shot, a patch that is put on a person’s skin, or as lozenges that are sucked like cough drops.

The illegally used fentanyl most often associated with recent overdoses is made in labs. This synthetic fentanyl is sold illegally as a powder, dropped onto blotter paper, put in eye droppers and nasal sprays, or made into pills that look like other prescription opioids.7

How Long Does a Nicotine Buzz Last

10-30minutes

Once inhaled, nicotine can kick in within 10 seconds. A vape or nicotine buzz can last anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the person’s tolerance. The longer someone uses nicotine or vapes, the more tolerant they are to its side effects, and the shorter-lasting the buzz becomes.

What State opened the first "safe injection site" in the united states in 2021

The first government-authorized supervised injection sites in the US (operated by OnPoint NYC) began operating in New York City in November 2021.

Supervised injection sites (SIS)[1] are medically supervised facilities designed to provide a hygienic environment in which people are able to consume illicit recreational drugs intravenously and prevent deaths due to drug overdoses.[2][3] The legality of such a facility is dependent by location and political jurisdiction. Supervised injection sites are part of a harm reduction approach towards drug problems. The facilities provide sterile injection equipment, information about drugs and basic health care, treatment referrals, access to medical staff, and, at some facilities, counseling. Most programs prohibit the sale or purchase of recreational drugs at the facility.

When smoked, the effects or marijuana typically last this long

what is 1-3 hours.

While THC may remain in the body for days or weeks after use, the noticeable effects of smoked marijuana generally last from 1 to 3 hours and those of consumed marijuana last for several hours

Marijuana’s effects set in nearly immediately when the drug is smoked as the THC and other chemicals pass from the lungs into the bloodstream, where it’s carried to the brain and throughout the rest of the body.2 If a person ingests cannabis that’s been baked into foods or brewed into beverages, on the other hand, the effects can be delayed from 30 minutes to 1 hour

K2 and Spice are considered this type of cannabinoid

synthetic

Because of this similarity, synthetic cannabinoids are sometimes misleadingly called synthetic marijuana (or fake weed), and they are often marketed as safe, legal alternatives to that drug. In fact, they are not safe and may affect the brain much more powerfully than marijuana; their actual effects can be unpredictable and, in some cases, more dangerous or even life-threatening.

Synthetic cannabinoid users report some effects similar to those produced by marijuana:

  • elevated mood
  • relaxation
  • altered perception—awareness of surrounding objects and conditions
  • symptoms of psychosis—delusional or disordered thinking detached from reality

Psychotic effects include:

  • extreme anxiety
  • confusion
  • paranoia—extreme and unreasonable distrust of others
  • hallucinations—sensations and images that seem real though they are not
