- run game or activity so that camp is under control
- have a digital copy to be printed
A person comes to pick up a camper who is not on the approved pick up list. What do we do?
- check enrollement form (sometimes names are missed)
- call the parent and ask for them to send WRITTEN persmission that the new person is allowed to pick up their child
You have a child who just turned 6 years old in your camp. They are struggling to engage with the group, seem very immature and can't keep up with games and directions. What can we do to help this child?
- have a counsellor work more 1 on 1 if ratio allows
- find some quiet games the kid may want to particpate in instead of big games
- document the disengament or incident that may occur
- talk to superviors, other coords and parents about moving the child to fun n friends

You are outside doing a colour coded scavernger hunt. Instead of looking for a red leaf or flower, the kid stabs themself with a stick and makes themselves bleed. Upon futher conversavtion, you find out the child stores a knife under their pillow without parental knowledge. Please outline the steps you would take.
- have a conversavtion with kid, gain an understanding and establish relationship, find out if the kid is in harms way at home (don't ask reaching questions)
- fill out major incident and suspected child abuse and neglect report
- call CAS and follow their directions
- if safe at home, have a private convo with parent at end of the day
While playing a running game in the gym, a counsellor and particpant collide. The child has a small scrap on their knee but the counsellor's ankle looks swollen. List all the forms that should be filled out and by who.

You have 24 kids aged 8-10 in camp. 3 counsellors and an LIT. What is the ratio of this camp on land?

When getting ready to head back inside from the park, a child decides to run away as they do not want to go back in. How can approach this situation?
- call for support
- have counsellors bring rest of the group inside after head count
- follow the child from safe distance, don't let them out of your site but don't get to close (they can think you are playing a game and are allowed to run)
- ask questions about what the child likes and try to difuse the situation
- once child returns to camp, fill our incident report and possibly call parents for early pick up
- come up with stragety for the rest of the week
Your on an out-trip to the museum. You notice your counsellor with a group of kids is in the gift shop and canteen area. When you approach, the counsellor tells you they are just buying themselves lunch and some of the kids wanted toys from the gift shop. How should you proceed?
- tell the counsellor to please take the group to the meeting point for lunch if they are hungry
- make sure the kids leave without buying anything and have them put the money back in their bag
- once back at camp, pull the counsellor aside and remind them of expectations
- talk to parent and ask them not to let their kids bring money to camp
