On a field trip (ex: Adventure City), you and another staff are leading your group around the rides. A couple of campers want to hop on a new ride and another half really want to ride an attraction again.

What do you do?

Take the kids to the new ride first, after, take the group to the ride that they want to hop on again.

  • Due to staffing and protocol overall, we do not split the group up.
  • Explain to the campers why we are riding the new ride first.

As campers are playing dodgeball in the Great Hall courtyard, a camper trips and hits their head on the tile. The camper says they are fine and continue to play.

What steps should be taken and considered?

If a camper sustains an injury, have them sit or stand while applying an ice pack immediately to prevent swelling. Monitor for symptoms like dizziness, nausea, or blurred vision; if present, contact their parent/guardian and inform Destiny. While the camper rests with the ice pack, complete a Boo Boo report, engage in conversation to keep them conscious, and regularly check on them throughout the day to monitor their injury.
