Tenemos una poítica de cero tolerancia. No permitimos ningún tipo de acoso o bullying en MLOV. Cualquier incidente de acoso puede resultar en la explusión del programa de verano.
We have a zero tolerance policy. We do not allow bullying or harassment of any kind at MLOV. Bullying or harassment can result in the removal of our summer program.

Es un programa de preparación y éxito universitario para estudiantes de preparatoria, desde 9 grado hasta estudiantes que ya asisten a colegios y universidades.
A college readiness and success program for high school students from 9th grade to college students who are already at colleges and universities.
¿Qué días tendremos clases, tiempo afuera y excursiones?
What days will we have lessons, outside time and field trips?
De lunes a miércoles habrá clases a dentro los martes y jueves actividades deportivas al aire libre, y los viernes- día de excursiones (habrá algunas excepciones)
Monday-Wednesday will be indoor lesson days, Tuesday and Thursday Outdoor sport days, Fridays- Fieldtrip days (there will be a few exceptions)

Cómo nos aseguraremos de estar seguros cuando juguemos deportes al aire libre durante el verano?
How will we ensure safety when we go outside to play sports this summer?
Tomaremos descansos para hidratarse y tendremos acceso a agua, bebidas deportivas, compresas de hielo y toallas húmedas para mantenernos frescos y seguros durante el calor.
We will take hydration breaks, have ice packs ready, Gatorade, water bottles, wet towels to make sure we stay cool during the heat.

Son clases de computación para adultos. Hay tres niveles diferentes para adaptarse a las necesidades y habilidades de cada participante.
They are computer classes for adults. There are three different levels to adapt for the needs and abilities of each student.

We will be following the World cup and learning about different identities and culture.

What are the expectations surrounding chores?
Cada día, un equipo será responsable de limpiar su salón. Ejemplo: Lunes – Equipo Amarillo (M.S. y H.S.)
Each day, one team will be responsible for cleaning their room. Example: Monday – Yellow Team (M.S. & H.S.).
¿Qué te parecen los equipos de verano?
What do the teams look like?
Habrá 5 equipos, cada uno representado por un color diferente: Rojo, Amarillo, Verde, Azul y Morado. Cada equipo tendrá 10 integrantes y un capitán de cada programa para ayudar a liderar y apoyar al equipo durante el verano.
There will be 5 teams each representing a different color: Red,Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. Each team will have 10 members, a captain from each grade on each team to lead and support the team during the summer
¿Cómo es la situación de transporte para llegar y salir del programa?
What is the transportation situation like to and from the program ?
No ofrecemos servicios de transporte. Los estudiantes deberán tomar el autobús, el metro o coordinar un viaje compartido (carpool) con otra familia del programa para llegar y regresar a casa.
MLOV does not provide transportation, students will need to use the bus (D4X and D40) take the metro (Green line Petworth Georgia Ave station) or coordinate carpool with other families to go to and from programming.

¿Qué comida se servirá?
What food will be served?
Todos los días, excepto los miércoles, serviremos comida de la cocina central de DC para el desayuno y el almuerzo. Los miércoles serviremos comida de diferentes culturas y los viernes comeremos fuera durante la excursión.
We will serve DC central kitchen food for breakfast and lunch everyday except Wednesdays. On Wednesdays we will serve food from different cultures and Fridays we will eat out at the field trip

Los estudiantes guardarán sus teléfonos al comienzo de la lección a las 9:15 a. m. y los recuperarán después de completar los quehaceres al final del día.
Students will put away their phone at the start of lesson at 9:15am and will not retrieve it back until the chores have been completed at the end of the day

What will you do in your teams?
Participarán en una serie de partidos amistosos de fútbol, voleibol y baloncesto. También participarán en retos creativos, actividades para fortalecer el trabajo en equipo, proyectos de servicio comunitario y tareas del equipo.
Compete in a series of sports scrimmages, Soccer, Volleyball and Basketball, creative challenge team building projects and community service projects as well as chores

Where do we go in case of an emergency fire?
Todos los estudiantes deben salir del edificio de manera ordenada y dirigirse al otro lado de la calle, frente a la biblioteca, donde se reunirán con el personal.
All students should exit the building and walk across the street in front of the Library with MLOV staff-

Es un programa de pasantías de 10 semanas que brinda a los participantes experiencia práctica y desarrollo profesional.
It is an internship program for 10 weeks that has both training and an internship placement for working professionals.
¿Cuántas horas comunitarias recibirás y qué tipo de proyectos de servicio comunitario realizarás?
How many community service hours will you receive and what types of community service projects will you do?
En sus equipos completarán tres proyectos de servicio comunitario relacionados con la deportividad, la diversidad, la equidad, la inclusión y la abogacía. Recibirán 1hora de servicio por día y 20 horas al completar con éxito el programa.
In your teams you will complete three community service projects around sportsmanship, diversity, equity, inclusion and advocacy. You will receive 1 hour of community service per day and 20 hours upon the successful completion of the program.

The Unity Games take place over two days: the second-to-last Friday and the last Monday of the summer program.

What is our SAFE program?
SAFE es un programa diseñado para ayudar a los miembros de la comunidad a cubrir sus necesidades básicas mediante la provisión de recursos y apoyo integral. Entre los servicios que ofrece se incluyen consultas legales, asistencia para crear planes familiares de emergencia y apoyo para acceder a servicios públicos y recursos comunitarios.
SAFE is a program to help community members with basic needs by providing wraparound resources such as legal consultations, assistance in creating emergency family plans, and support for accessing public services
